Proxies for web scraping
Web scraping means sending many requests to public pages and saving the data you need. ProxyDay spreads those requests over rotating residential IPs and bills unlimited traffic by the day.
Why do scrapers need proxies?
Sites limit how many requests one IP address can send, so a scraper running from a single server IP gets slowed down or blocked after a while. Routing traffic through a proxy gateway gives each request a different residential IP.
Residential IPs belong to home internet connections, so the target site sees ordinary visitors spread across many networks. Your total volume can be high while the request rate per IP stays low.
How does per-day billing work for scraping?
The unlimited plan charges a fixed price per day with no traffic meter. At 200 connections and 100 Mbps it is $4.65 for one day, and the daily rate drops by 6%, 15% or 24% on plans of 7, 30 or 90 days.
Heavy pages with images or large JSON responses cost the same as small ones, because bytes are not counted. You size the plan by concurrent connections (200 to 2,000) and bandwidth (100 to 1,000 Mbps).
How many concurrent connections do I need?
Your connection need equals the number of requests your scraper keeps open at the same moment. A crawler with 150 worker threads fits the 200 connection tier with room left for retries.
If you run several scrapers side by side, add their worker counts together. When the project grows, choose a larger tier for your next plan in the dashboard.
Which data is fine to scrape?
Public pages that anyone can open without logging in, such as product listings, articles and public directories, are the usual targets. Read each site's terms and the laws where you operate before you start.
ProxyDay suspends accounts used for credential stuffing, spam, DDoS or access to government sites. Moderate request rates keep the target site working for its other visitors, and keep your scraper welcome there.
Set up ProxyDay for Web scraping
1
Top up your ProxyDay balance with crypto in the payment window (minimum $30).
2
Buy an unlimited residential plan and choose the days, connections and bandwidth.
3
Use your proxy username with -zone-unl, and add a country such as -cc-us when the data depends on region.
4
Point your scraper at gate.proxyday.shop on port 6100 (HTTP) or 6200 (SOCKS5), and each request leaves from a new IP.
Questions
Does the IP change on every request?
Yes. Without a -sid value in the username, each request goes out through a different residential IP.
Can I keep one IP for a multi-page session?
Add -sid- followed by any session ID you choose, plus -ttl- with up to 60 minutes if you want a set length. Requests with the same sid keep the same IP for that time.
Is there a traffic cap on the unlimited plan?
Traffic is not metered at all. The plan is sized only by the concurrent connections and bandwidth you picked.
What happens while my plan is activating?
The order shows activating until the network side turns it on. If it cannot be activated, it is cancelled and the full amount goes back to your balance.
