Proxies for SEO rank tracking
Search results change with the searcher's location, so a ranking checked from one office says little about other markets. ProxyDay residential IPs let your rank tracker search from the country and city you care about.
Why do rankings differ by location?
Search engines adjust results to the searcher's country, language and nearby businesses. A local service keyword can rank first in one city and sit on page two in another.
A residential IP in each target city returns the result a local searcher sees. That is the position your local SEO work actually moves.
How do I set up city-level tracking?
Add the country and city to the username, for example -cc-gb-city-london or -cc-us-city-los_angeles. Each search then exits from a residential IP in that area.
Keep a list of keyword and city pairs in your tracker and attach the matching username to each pair. Only the username string changes between locations.
How often should I check rankings?
A daily check is enough for most keywords, since rankings rarely move hour by hour. Daily schedules also keep your request rate low and your GB use small.
Around a launch or a site migration, check key terms more often for a week, then return to daily. With per GB billing you pay only for the extra checks in that week.
Should rank checks rotate or stay sticky?
Rotate, because each search is a separate request and a fresh IP for each one spreads load naturally. Leave out -sid and the gateway changes the IP for you.
Use a short sticky session only when you load several result pages for one keyword. Set -ttl- to a few minutes so the session ends when that keyword is done.

Questions
In how many countries can I track rankings?
Residential IPs cover 60 countries, and city targeting works in many of them.
Does it work with rank tracking software?
Any tool that accepts an HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy with a username and password works. HTTP uses port 6100 and SOCKS5 uses port 6200.
Why does my tracker show the wrong country?
Check that the -cc- code is two lowercase letters and spelled correctly in the username. A typo means the gateway cannot select the country you meant.
Can I run several client projects on one pack?
Yes. Each project can use its own username options while drawing GB from the same pack.
